Following in the footsteps of the Sex in the City ladies (who are famous for their love of Cosmopolitans, which is a kind of Martini), 13 Women in Business ladies gathered on Tuesday 18.5.2010 to enjoy a ‘rain-free beautiful blue sky with clear moon view’ evening at the poolside of the China Hotel.
Ms. Lindsay Ross of the China Hotel held a very interesting lecture on the history of Martinis; not only when and how this classical drink was invented but also who of the rich and famous were Martini fans and of course a selection of the most famous quotes connected to Martinis.
The highlights were a lesson and presentation by barkeeper Allan of how to mix three different kinds of Martinis followed by the opportunity for each lady to mix her own personal martini herself.
The Sapphire Lounge singer crowned our already great evening fun by accepting and singing a set of our song wishes.
