We had a sharing and personal rendezvous with one of China's great women entrepreneurs, Ms. Michelle Garnaut on July 13, 2009 over lunch in the Jiangguo Hotel Guangzhou about her journey from someone in the search of her true calling to her establishment of chains of iconic restaurants in China. 

Michelle shared her personal story of growing up as the oldest in the family to leaving her home in Australia to travel and work in different places around the world in the pursuit of her destiny.  

She talked about the slow and humble start of her chain of successful food establishments in both Hong Kong and China, and how she eventually made her mark in Shanghai, and now also this year in Beijing. 

It was the sharing of a personal journey of perseverance, learning, and dealing with government officials, prime property owners, shareholders, and other stakeholders in the start up of her business in China, with results that are impressive and inspiring.
