Being of Finnish nationality, having
spent almost half of her life in Greater China, Rebekka
not only speaks Chinese fluently but has a
multi-cultural understanding about issues and
situations. Rebekka has worked in the travel industry
for the last 15 years, building herself a strong network
with travel agents, government entities as well as
media.
Prior to moving to Guangzhou, Rebekka
worked as Destination PR-manager for Gulliver’s Travel
Associates, a global tour operator. Almost 4 years ago
she moved with her family to Guangzhou, having been
appointed as Manager South China with Finnair. During
her time in Guangzhou
Rebekka has been actively involved
in the foreign chambers, and she was one of the founding
board members of with Women in Business while still
under the British Chamber of Commerce.
Rebekka currently works as director of
business development for Kingold Group, a Chinese
family-owned real estate giant. Her areas of
responsibility are numerous, including service training
of staff at the Asia Pacific International Club and
Favorview Golf and Country Club, chief editor for their
newly launched lifestyle magazine, as well as building
the pre-opening sales and marketing strategies for a new
luxury resort and golf course project in Conghua.
